As you likely know, COVID-19, a strain of Coronavirus, recently emerged in the United States and Canada. AMG Tech Support is actively monitoring the status of COVID-19 and its impact on our Clients, users, technicians, and partners. On behalf of all AMG Tech Support employees, our thoughts are with those impacted by the virus and we hope that it is contained soon.
Should the need arise, our internal staff is prepared to work remotely and remain completely operational.
The facts about COVID-19
Symptoms of Coronavirus include a fever, cough, and shortness of breath. The WHO reports that Coronavirus does not transmit as efficiently as the flu and that most people develop symptoms within two days.
As of April 26th, over 944,000 people in the United States have tested positive for Coronavirus with most concentrated in Large Metropolitan areas, and spreading rapidly.
What Client and Home Users should know
If your company has restricted travel within the U.S. and Canada, AMG continues to align resources in the geographies where you need labor coverage.
We anticipate there may be an increase in work order removal requests as a result of COVID-19 in affected areas. Technicians may need to request to remove themselves from work orders in the following cases:
If technicians have a fever
If technicians have recently traveled internationally, to other areas within the United States or Canada that have been identified as Clusters.
A growing number of companies in the United States are restricting business travel and may look to local technicians to fulfill existing business needs. Before submitting a work request, please evaluate the status of the outbreak in your area, and the risk it poses to your personal health.
